The gift that keeps on giving.
Last year, I received a classic bottle of Jägermeister and whipped up a Jägerita and Death Flip — both putting me into a stunned state of questioning everything I knew about this German delicacy.
This time around, I have my hands on the recently released Jägermeister Manifest, taking the classic recipe forward with a 5th maceration and double barrel maturation — not to mention a 3% bump in ABV, creating a truly premium herbal liqueur.
They recommended that I try this in the format of a classic sour — and it did NOT disappoint.
Ingredients
0.75oz | 20ml demerara syrup
1oz | 30ml lemon juice
2oz | 60ml jagermeister Manifest
1 egg white
Aromatic Bitters
Cocktail Directions
Combine syrup, lemon juice, and Jägermeister Manifest into a shaker tin. Add egg white, then dry shake or hand whip until frothy and emulsified. Add ice, shake, and double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with drops of aromatic bitters.
