Also known as the gin pesto. 🤌🏻
Are you a sucker for fresh basil in the summer? Me too. While you have some handy, make this German born classic (thank you, Jörg)
I decided to lower the proof a bit while infusing some tomato flavor with the newly released Tomato Vermouth by @drinkveso — and damn is it tasty.
Ingredients
6-7 basil leaves
1-2 dashes of vinegar
0.5oz | 15ml 2:1 syrup
0.75oz | 22.5ml lemon juice
1oz | 30ml dry vermouth
1oz | 30ml gin of choice
Cocktail Directions
Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin, add ice, shake well, and double strain into a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with basil.
