Daisy de Santiago

One of my go to Daiquiri variations — as long as I have enough Yellow Chartreuse in stock.

I discovered this cocktail last year. Classically, this is served on the rocks or crushed ice with a mint sprig, which is also extremely enjoyable.

It used to be served at the Bacardi distillery in Cuba in the 1930s. Taking aim at a cross between a Daisy / Sidecar and a Daiquiri build, this sits right in my comfort zone.

Complex, bright, and funky.

Ingredients

1 dash of Angostura Bitters

.25oz | 7.5ml 2:1 simple syrup

0.75oz | 22.5ml lime juice

0.5oz | 15ml Yellow Chartreuse

1.75oz | 50ml White or Lightly Aged Rum

Cocktail Directions

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, add ice, shake, and double strain into a Coupe or Nick & Nora glass. Garnish with a mint sprig or lime coin.
