homemade spiced cranberry syrup
Ingredients
1 cup fresh cranberries
1 cup water
2 cinnamon sticks
2 star anise pods
1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
1 cup of sugar
Steps
Simmer cranberries in water and spice ingredients for 20 mins, then press through a fine strainer until you extract as much liquid as possible. Add hot water until the total volume is up to 8oz again, combine sugar and whisk until completely dissolved. Reserve up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
