When it comes to the classic and reliable Four Roses Single Barrel recipe (OBSV), nothing seemed more appropriate than an old fashioned.
Yes, *technically* an old fashioned is a template for ANY bourbon (so feel free to use it literally whenever). But given the flavors of delicate fruit and higher rye spice from this particular bourbon—it just hits.
Ingredients
2oz | 60ml Four Roses Single Barrel OBSV
.33oz | 10ml simple syrup
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
Light Pinch of Salt
1 trimmed orange peel, for garnish
Cocktail Directions
Combine all ingredients into a stirring vessel with ice, stir briefly to integrate components and lightly dilute. Strain over a large block, and garnish with an expressed orange peel.
