Found in the seasonal section of Elliott Clark’s new book, “Let’s Do Drinks”.
I wanted to show some love to one of my biggest inspirations to many in the cocktail creator space. This man paved the way for so many of us lucky enough to call this a job. If you’re a banana and whiskey lover, this is a banger.
Ingredients
2-3 dashes of black walnut bitters
0.25oz (7.5ml) brown sugar syrup
0.25oz (7.5ml) banana liqueur
2oz (60ml) rye or bourbon
Cocktail Directions
Combine all ingredients into a stirring vessel, add ice, stir to chill and dilute slightly. Strain over a large rock in an old fashioned glass. Garnish with shaved nutmeg and a brûléed banana piece.
