Full transparency, this is just a small adjustment of Jeffrey Morgenthaler’s recipe by swapping reposado tequila for Spanish brandy.
In my mind, there’s no real way to improve the base recipe, but you can certainly tinker with your favorite aged spirits — it will likely be so good you’ll want to slap your momma.
Ingredients
2 eggs
3oz (by measure) sugar
3oz Amontillado Sherry
3oz Brandy (or any other aged spirit of your choice)
6oz Whole Milk
4oz Heavy Cream
Cinnamon, shaved
Nutmeg, shaved
Cocktail Directions
Combine all ingredients into a blender set to low, slowly, and in sequential order until fully combined. Store in a sterilized bottle and store safely up to a month.
