This recipe is an amalgamation of research and personal experimentation. Is this the end all, be all of the perfect espresso martini? Personally, I think so.
But let’s be honest, this video was an opportunity to show off yet another exciting project this week: my bartender’s espresso blend with Roasty Buds.
This has been a year in the making, so I’m extremely proud of what we were able to pull together and finally launch this incredible collaboration.
The blend is mix of both Central and South American beans done with a medium roast with notes of sweet caramel and dark chocolate—in my opinion, the perfect companion for any coffee cocktail AND coffee drink.

Ingredients
0.25oz | 7.5ml 2:1 simple syrup
0.75oz | 22.5ml coffee liqueur
1.5oz | 45ml base spirit of choice (rum or tequila for me, please)
1.5oz | 45ml espresso
Pinch of salt
Cocktail Directions
Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin, add ice, and shake VERY well; double strain into a coupe. Garnish with 3 espresso beans.
